Step 1: Download and review the Enrollment Application & Release of Records.
Step 2: Fill out the Application for Enrollment. Students applying for kindergarten must be five years old by August 31st of the year for which he/she is seeking enrollment. First graders should be six years old by August 31st.
Step 3: Forward the Authorization for Release of Information and Records to your child’s current school. Please keep in mind that school districts do not often promptly send records. We strongly encourage you to visit your child’s school to get a complete copy of your child’s records to include in your application. Otherwise, a response to your application may be delayed while we wait for your child’s records to be sent to us.
Step 4: Submit your completed Application for Enrollment, Authorization for Release of Information and Records, and a copy of your child’s birth certificate to our offices with a non-refundable $25 application fee per student.
Step 5: PUCS will schedule an interview and educational assessment with you and your child after receiving your application and your child’s records. Students applying for kindergarten are also required to attend a Pre-K Day in January that gives the staff an opportunity to observe each child in a group situation.
Acceptance decisions will be made upon review of application, official school records, and assessment result. Once a student is accepted, an additional $150 enrollment nonrefundable deposit is to be paid to secure your child’s position. By making this deposit you are making a good faith commitment for your child to attend PUCS.
