At Pittsburgh Urban Christian School, we inspire our students to see the world as a whole, emphasizing the natural connections between subjects. Rather than teaching math separate from science or social studies distinct from art and music, the PUCS curriculum brings together content from multiple subjects into creative learning units. Our staff is dedicated to facilitating each student’s spiritual, personal, social, academic and physical growth.
We do all we can to remove the financial and educational barriers for students who want to be here. Every student should have access to a great school, no matter their circumstances or financial status. Furthermore, great education happens when people from varied backgrounds study the world together. We aim for a diverse community out of both a missional motivation and an educational principle.
The first phrase in our mission is to equip students to thrive academically. With an integrated approach across language, math & science, humanities and the arts, we stimulate students to do just that – and our record of results affirm it.
